Silence is Golden?

Many people say silence is golden and that can be true. It is hard though when God chooses to remain silent on one particular subject. He has done a lot of talking lately, but isn't answering on the subject of the house selling. smile. It has taken time to fight my doubts with His truth. Every devotional I read talks about waiting on the Lord and to walk by faith not sight. I guess that is a good thing, because its really dark. Streams in the Desert today talked about the men who sailed across the ocean to land they could not see. They didn't use the earth for direction, but the stars, moon, and sun. They looked up for direction and continued sailing, knowing by faith they would reach the shoreline they could not see. We are in the middle of the Pacific sailing, and we are looking to the heavenlies to be guided. Knowing that his word says He satisfies the desires of the righteous with good things. Wait on Him he longs to be gracious to you.. He led him into a spacious place. We are walking through this for His glory. He has met our needs with a sweet family who has welcomed us with open arms - even the dogs. WE are pushing through to a deeper level of intimacy with Him as we wait and watch knowing that He loves us and will give us the best. Are you walking through a silent time with God. Are you clinging to his truth. I am reminded of how he was silent for 400 years, before Christ came. How many of his children clung to truth and rested in him during that time? How many paced and gave up. Such a reassurance that we will not have to wait four hundred years for God to speak on this situation. Look forward to the time when I can share the amazing things He has done and you can rejoice with us in His goodness.

"And Moses said to the people, Fear not; for God is come to prove you, and that the [reverential] fear of Him may be before you, that you may not sin. And the people stood afar off, but Moses drew near to the thick darkness where God was." Exodus 20:20,21
In the times when we do not SEE the Lord working, we can "draw near to the thick darkness where God is," and in His perfect love which casts out all our fears,we KNOW we can trust our Almighty Creator and Lord, and we can rest our faith in His faithfulness. We then find ourselves praising Him for the things He has done and for His perfect provision in the past which strengthens our faith for the present. The Lord tells us in James to draw near to the Lord and He will draw near to us. Psalm 16:11 "You (Lord) will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy, at Your right hand there are pleasures for evermore." [Acts 2:25-28]
Is this true, that we experience joy and beyond that, fullness of joy in the presence of our Lord?
Is it true what Nehemiah said to the people, that the joy of the Lord is our strength?
Psalm 59:9 "O my Strength, I will watch and give heed to You and sing praises; for God is my defense --- my Protector and High Tower. My God in His mercy and steadfast love will meet me..."
My own life, and present and past personal testimony affirms most assuredly the truth communicated in these verses about our Lord and Christ AND at this present time I cling to what I know about my Lord experientially and in the Scriptures and trust in and rely on all that I KNOW to be true.
Kelly and Susan, may the Lord bless your testimony to the Greatness and Faithfulness of the Lord and your trust in Him as posted here.
Psalm 73 ... My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the rock and firm strength of my heart, and my portion for ever... But it is good for me to draw near to God; I have put my trust in the Lord God and made Him my refuge, that I may tell of all Your works.
love to each of you, vc
