Silence is Golden?

Many people say silence is golden and that can be true. It is hard though when God chooses to remain silent on one particular subject. He has done a lot of talking lately, but isn't answering on the subject of the house selling. smile. It has taken time to fight my doubts with His truth. Every devotional I read talks about waiting on the Lord and to walk by faith not sight. I guess that is a good thing, because its really dark. Streams in the Desert today talked about the men who sailed across the ocean to land they could not see. They didn't use the earth for direction, but the stars, moon, and sun. They looked up for direction and continued sailing, knowing by faith they would reach the shoreline they could not see. We are in the middle of the Pacific sailing, and we are looking to the heavenlies to be guided. Knowing that his word says He satisfies the desires of the righteous with good things. Wait on Him he longs to be gracious to you.. He led him into a spacious place. We are walking through this for His glory. He has met our needs with a sweet family who has welcomed us with open arms - even the dogs. WE are pushing through to a deeper level of intimacy with Him as we wait and watch knowing that He loves us and will give us the best. Are you walking through a silent time with God. Are you clinging to his truth. I am reminded of how he was silent for 400 years, before Christ came. How many of his children clung to truth and rested in him during that time? How many paced and gave up. Such a reassurance that we will not have to wait four hundred years for God to speak on this situation. Look forward to the time when I can share the amazing things He has done and you can rejoice with us in His goodness.

Girls and Laughter

Last night I was able to take a break from packing and go scrappin with some of my dear friends. In 6 hours I only did 6 pages. In the beginning, I could crank them out, but not now. I'm too busy laughing with intermitten snorts. It felt good. Laughter really does reduce stress. The sound of laughter brings joy. The night before I was in the car with 2 of my princesses and their friends. They were singing along with one ipod and were definitely not in key. It was a wonderful sound though. It made me remember singing songs with my friends in the car when I was their age. I said a prayer thanking God for sweet parents who tolerated the "sweet sound" of their angels. Later that evening you could hear bursts of laughter all through the house. I was on the phone with my mom and the laughter touched her as well. You could hear the pleasure in her voice as she asked who was laughing and why. It was one of those moments when I felt so blessed and thankful to be a mom. I want to store it in my heart, just as Mary (Jesus's mom) treasured all things in her heart. Enjoy laughter today and welcome it as the treasure that it is.

More San Antonio Fun

I forgot to share with you pictures of the girls feeding the dolphins. Sp got to ride the horse Star as Tanya led her around. What fun!!!!!!!!!!!

We just came back from a quick vacation. We spent a couple of days in San Antonio with our friends the Gordons. It is always such a fun time with them. Our children get along really well and we are free to visit with each other. One day we took the kids to Sea World. Except for Spencer's dehydration and 45 minutes at first aid, we had a great time.

By the way we are starting to make a habit of first aid stations. We've been to the one at 6 Flags-Arlington, Universal- florida, Animal Kingdom - Florida, and Sea World- San Antonio. Can anyone else identify with our apparent magnetism toward first aid stations?
