Tupos - Dnow

This weekend we had our first dnow at our new church. It went really well. Our theme was TUPOS the Greek word which means set the example. It was fun to have our "babies in the Lord" come and lead. Burgandy Road was our band and did an awesome job! It was fun because their lead singer was at one of our churches in the past! Jason Sturgeon spoke and did a great job! All of our volunteers worked so hard! The "kids" had fun helping to pop the balloons afterwards. I made over 120 Grilled Cheese for lunch - I smelled like a Grilled Cheese - smile.

24

There is a popular show called 24. I've never seen it, but I've heard it encompases every event from one day. In summing up yesterday in my analytical brain, I decided 24 was a good title. K officiated J's wedding Friday night. We met our new family. Sat morning I attended a shower for J. She had a wonderful one! When we were unloading her haul at her new house, our battery died. We couldn't get it to jump. One of my parent's church members came and tried to help us. It was a divine appt. K was able to make a visit with him to a family. This would open doors for future visits. The neighbor next to my parent's house called and said there was a snake crawling up the bricks. K killed it with a shovel. On the way home to our house I had a lead foot. The trooper pulled me over. I admitted I was speeding. He found out I was a substitute teacher. He also had the same birthday as I did. What are the chances of you and a state trooper sharing a birthday. He graciously let me off with a warning. These are the highlights, there are many other crazy things that happened in between these. P.S. I made the wedding bouquet. It was my first one. I think I did pretty well for the first time.

Bluebonnets

WE love the bluebonnets! We took our Sr. Adults to Fredericksburg to see them. Someone told us that right down the road from a nearby town there was a field of bluebonnets. We climbed through the barbed wire fence to take these pictures.

And they Called it Puppy Love

We have fallen in love with Honeybun. I never thought I'd let a dog lick my face! She has been such a blessing and answer to prayer. We just need to pray for Cookie and Brownie to accept her.

Easter with our Godfamily

We have been so blessed to be adopted by our children's godparents' family. They always welcome us into their home. We had a great time with them at Easter.

Honeybun Comes Home

As you know Sh's puppy died several weeks ago. We have been visiting the puppy farm and waiting for the day HoneyBun could come home with us. She is a precious baby and we have all fallen in love with her!

Easter Wonderland

We had a great weekend. We saw some of our precious friends. Sh friend gave her a pug purse for her birthday. The kids all got to drive our friend's boat! My parents came in for a visit. We found J's wedding dress. She tried on a lot at a local store. You see a picture of one below. Of course we didn't show the real one. smile. As you can see we had lots of snow. The girls got their pictures taken with gun fighters who were in town. What a memorable Easter so far.
